We get food to the people who need it the most—kids, families, seniors and any individual who is facing food insecurity

Our Programs

Our food programs serve community members in need. Everyone in the community is welcome to participate in all programs.

1500 individuals visit our Fresh Harvest Pantry each month. They receive fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, and pantry basics.

Fresh Harvest Pantry Shopping Guidelines

1.    Each household may shop one time each week. Please register online using the Family Sign Up from the menu above or in person at the market. If you are going to register in person and will need assistance with technology, please inform the check-in volunteer and we will assist you.

2.    One member of a household is eligible to shop each week.

3.    You choose your preferred shopping model: walk-in shopping or curbside pickup. With walk-in shopping you make your own food choices. With curbside pick-up we have pre-packed a selection of foods from the market for you to pick-up. You will get the same amount of food with each shopping model.

4.    Delivery households receive a weekly delivery on Wednesday between 1 and 3 pm.

5.    If you need delivery, please contact us at hudsonbackpackprogram@gmail.com. We can only deliver in Hudson to those needing delivery because of a medical issue or lack of transportation. We will contact you to verify address, eligibility and instructions for delivery.

Student Backpack Program

300 individuals receive food each week through participation in the backpack program. We send home food for the family for the weekend. If you are interested in participating in this program, please click on the Family Sign Up from the menu above.

Raider Network Partnership

Raider Network serves 450 students each week in our middle and high schools. Students can pick up food, school and personal hygiene supplies at no cost. If your student is interested in participating in the Raider Network, please contact your school counselor.

Serving More Families & More Food

During 2023 our program saw significant growth to meet the needs of our families. We served 11,980 households, logged 5500 volunteer hours, made 1080 home deliveries and distributed over 785,000 lbs. of food!

You may have noticed that the Hudson Backpack & Food Program has grown significantly in recent years!  In 2017 we partnered with the school district to introduce the Summer Food Program.

The amazing success of this partnership and program provided us the data and the knowledge to create programming to meet the different needs of families and students of all ages.

It also provided us the knowledge and skills to immediately get food distributed in Hudson during the COVID-19 crisis.

We continue to search for ways to meet the growing needs within our Hudson community. With the help of our volunteers, the school district, area churches and community partnerships with businesses and other non-profits,  we continue to grow.

Thank you for your encouragement and support!
